What were you looking for in a residency program? ​ High operative volume, complex cases, protected research time, resident camaraderie and faculty mentorship.
What are the strengths of the UF program? All of the above, along with training at multiple medical centers (UF Health and VA), early operative experience as interns, endless opportunities for research and academic development, along with co-residents I enjoy working and hanging out with.
What do you like best about living in Gainesville? You can be outside all year long. Gainesville is a fun college town with a lot to do (trails, springs, proximity to the beach, restaurants/nightlife)
List of hobbies/interests: Traveling, hiking, gym, spending time at the beach, trying every new coffee shop/restaurant in town, reading.
